Deadline could be pushed back
The Premier League is holding talks about extending the winter transfer window beyond Monday's 5pm deadline.
With much of Britain waking up under a blanket of snow and more inclement weather expected, last-minute deals are being hampered due to the travel problems which are affecting much of the country.
Mike Foster, general secretary of the Premier League, confirmed they were looking to extend the deadline and that talks have been held with the Football Association and world governing body Fifa.
Excuse
the problem with a deadline is that clubs can possibly make signings after the transfer window as they make up the excuse of, 'my player could not travel because of bad weather conditions'.
