Make Your XBOX 360 Console Quieter

this isn't a gaming tip as such but oh well.
Everyone who has a 360 knows that they are loud machines and even though you get used to it, it still is annoying. That is why i think the new feature on The New Xbox Experience in which you can install games to your hard drive is good. When your playing any game you've installed it is quiet when it is running however the games can take up alot of space on your hard drive, i recently installed GoW2 and that was 7.1Gb so it would probably be best if you install on one of the larger hard drives.

Yea ive got the 120gb hard drive with my Xbox 360 Elite - could save laods of games to my hardrive.

Also to make your xbox quiter you can add talismoon whisper fans to make it run quiter and keep the console temperature lower. It also has LEDs on so looks good out the back out your console. I have green ones which look pretty cool.

Where could i get talismoon whisper fans from? it sounds like a good feature to add to the console

You have to void your warrenty to open your xbox but its worth it and you might as well flash your xbox 360 firmware to play backups while your at it.

sounds like a pretty decent feature to add to your XBOX360. Just a shame that you have to void your warranty if you was going to do this.

I am out of the warranty period and i would like to add the fans, but what would happen if i got RRoD again?

Microsoft are fixing XBOX 360's that have RROD but are out of warranty. This is only for a short period of time tho Shlong so im not sure what would happen, i guess it just depends when or if you get the Red Rings OF Death

Look at the back of your xbox near your serial code if your manufacture date is under 3 years ago microsoft will fix your xbox for free as long as you haven't voided your warrenty.

I can install the fans for you its wuite simple you just need the right tools.

You have to get a torx 8 and 10 to open your xbox which are available on ebay for a few quid.

Ive recently added GTA 4 to my hard drive as the disc was a little scratched and would crash from time to time.

Its is really quiet I dint realise how quiet it would be - Thanks shlong.

Also it no longer crashes, loads quicker and I love it thanks!

I've checked the back of my console and in fact it actually is out of the warranty period, so is it better to take the risk now?

and no problem seano its nice not to have that loud background noise all of the time lol, and i think because the game is installed alredi if anymore damage happens to the disc in theory it should still work .

I was wondering if i save the original to my hard drive and put in a backup if it will think its the real disc ? hmm

I'd take this risk because you can fix the xbox if you get red rings. So I would perosnally and I would defo get it flashed.
