Mido set for Wigan talks Egyptian
Wigan have been given permission to speak to Middlesbrough striker Mido about a loan move to the JJB Stadium.

The Egyptian forward has become frustrated at his lack of first-team action at the Riverside and confirmed earlier on Thursday it was '95 per cent certain' that he would be moving on during the transfer window.

Boro have already done business with the Latics as striker Marlon King, who was previously on loan at Hull City, has agreed a loan move to the North East until the end of the season.

Steve Bruce is keen to secure the services of Mido on a similar deal, although Gareth Southgate has insisted the two moves are not linked, as was previously understood.

Mido has had a nomadic career and can count Ajax, Celta Vigo, Marseille, Roma and Tottenham among his former clubs in the past seven years.

He started the season in impressive form for Boro, scoring four goals in his first five games, but has since slipped down the pecking order.

Mido would face a battle to secure a starting berth at the JJB Stadium with Emile Heskey and Amr Zaki established as Bruce's first-choice strike partnership.

i think Mido is a quality player that on his good days could be just as good as players like Berbatov and Torres, i have seen him playing for Egypt and he is immense. Under-rated footballer i think Crying or Very sad
