about Far Cry 2

The hugely anticipated Far Cry 2 lives up to expectations. For those who don't know what it is about here is a brief summary. It is a quite large free roaming game in which you have to find your own missions to progress in the campaign, there is not just one set path, instead you have multiple options which affect the outcome.
Online play is like a simple version of CoD4 which works effectively with the weapons available, vehicles can be used on most maps and there is a unique map building feature which allows you to make everything from grass, trees and buildings and these maps can be posted online and anyone can download the most popular and play them.
The downside to this game is that the campaign can get a bit tedious as you do the same missions over and over again in different ways.
Overall though i would recommend Far Cry 2.

Sounds wuite a good game only played a little with that machettie which is joke.

I dont think it will compete with call of duty though as you can tell by the price decrease in the game down to £17.99 in GAME.

Yeah i have to agree that it won't last as long as a CoD game, its because CoD is unbeatable with online play.

Far Cry will never do as well as the COD franchise because Call Of Duty has the name. I meen whatever game that has Call of Duty in its name will be bought in the millions because the previous games have been soooooo gd. Although im saying this, Far Cry 2 sounds like a decent game.

Its not just becuase call of duty is a well known name it is also the best for online play and unbeatable.

its gonna take alot for a game to knock CoD of the top spot, its coz it is quick and easy to get into matches and there's no matchmaking shite lol.

Yea the servers are excellent for call of duty other games should follow in their footsteps for easy matchmaking.

I was playin far cry 2 yesterday on a downloaded map that someone had made and it was mayhem, there was a lot of vehicles with mounted machine guns, grenade launchers and 50.cals everyone was getting blown to bits

That would be pretty joke - I love blowing people to shreds!

Ive seen people glitching the mounted guns in cod4 like being stood a cuple of metres higher in the air behind a wall while firing the gun pretty joke and works well.

I havent seen many glitches on far cry 2 it seems to be quite composed.

Must be an X Box thing. Ps3 servers are awful, Half of the time the game ends for no reason.

Xbox definitely brings out the best in Cod online its because of superior servers to the ps3

Thats true shlong but ps3 get is free.

I think £30 for a year is worth it though especially for how much better it is.
